AN ONGOING RECORD

Chris Green:Composer, KHAOS & Blurred Edge

On 23 September 2026, women working across the music, creative and technology industries began comparing accounts of intimate relationships with the same person, Chris Green, which they say had been presented to them as exclusive.

As they exchanged accounts, questions emerged about what they had been told concerning his work, professional activities and standing. What began as a personal conversation developed into concerns about professional influence, access, mentoring and safeguarding within the creative industries.

The publisher, one of the women involved, reports that Green apologised publicly, including through comments on the publisher’s Instagram account. The publisher subsequently observed that several people aware of the accounts and ongoing concerns had been blocked by Green across social media and professional networking platforms. Despite his apologies, the publisher experienced these actions as a form of silencing, particularly given the questions raised about the boundaries between personal relationships and professional influence. Green’s reasons for blocking these individuals have not been independently established.

This website was created in response to these experiences of perceived silencing and marginalisation. It provides a space to document developments beyond social media platforms, where the visibility of personal accounts can be influenced by follower networks, platform algorithms and moderation decisions. The website operates independently of any professional organisation’s internal procedures. Its purpose is to document developments faithfully, including responses, corrections and outcomes.

The publisher (CL), a scholar whose research examines the creative industries and equality, also approaches this documentation as an ongoing inquiry into power, institutional accountability and the ways individuals seek to make their voices heard.

01 / Why this exists

A personal discovery. A wider conversation. Questions that deserve a fair process.

Since 23 September, questions have been raised about Chris Green’s conduct and whether intimate relationships, representations of professional standing and access to career opportunities may have intersected. These are concerns raised by those involved, not established findings.

Where professional influence includes mentoring emerging musicians, we believe safeguarding and professional boundaries deserve careful consideration. This is why concerns were raised with The Society for Producers and Composers of Applied Music (PCAM), where the publisher understands Green has held a committee role and participated in mentoring, rather than publishing private testimony here.

02 / Public professional identity

Who is Chris Green?

This website concerns Chris Green, a London-based composer and company founder associated publicly with Blurred Edge and Khaos—not other people with the same name.

Public materials from the Society for Producers and Composers of Applied Music (PCAM) identify Green as a composer, creative director of Blurred Edge, founder of Khaos and a PCAM committee member. PCAM has also publicly described his involvement in mentoring and discussions of artificial intelligence (AI), copyright and music. The publisher understands that he has represented PCAM in parliamentary discussions; this requires confirmation from an official event record.

Green has described professional affiliations including membership of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), and partnerships involving Khaos, PRS for Music and the Creative Computing Institute at the University of the Arts London (UAL). These are descriptions or claims of professional association, not independently verified endorsements or partnerships by this website.

Links below identify public sources for readers to examine. They do not imply that the organisations or companies are subject to the reported PCAM review.

Request for an apology and a PCAM review

An Open Letter to Chris Green – and to the Organisations That Platform Him

Since I began speaking publicly, I have been humbled by the responses.

I did not anticipate either the scale of what I would discover or how strongly my experience would resonate with other women. Some have contacted me privately; others have spoken for themselves.

I want to be clear: this is not simply about infidelity or somebody's private relationships.

My concern is the point at which intimacy, trust, professional access and professional benefit may become intertwined — particularly where women working in music are involved.

1. A request to PCAM

I am asking PCAM to review Chris Green's position as a committee member and his role mentoring female and gender-expansive composers and producers.

Based on my own experience and information subsequently shared with me, I have serious concerns about patterns in which personal or intimate relationships with women may overlap with professional relationships, resources, opportunities or advantage.

I am asking PCAM to examine these concerns independently, speak to those willing to provide information, and make its own determination.

Pending that review, I believe his mentoring responsibilities should be paused.

2. A request to Chris Green

I am asking you to apologise to the women you have hurt.

Some women may wish to remain anonymous. Others may never come forward. Their experiences are not mine to disclose.

I can speak only for myself, and I have chosen to put my name and experience publicly behind what I am saying.

Please listen to the women who are speaking to you. Please acknowledge the harm that is yours to acknowledge.

Repeated deception in intimate and professional relationships does not exist in a vacuum. Other people eventually carry its consequences.

Finally, something personal.

Chris makes a very good fire. I remember watching him make one at his home in 2018, and I watched him make another for my family only this past Sunday.

It is strange that such a small memory remains with me.

Fire can destroy. But it can also illuminate.

I hope what follows from this is not simply destruction, but greater honesty, accountability and safer professional spaces for women.

Chris Green’s apology (published in the comments section of Instagram post 1)

The following is a transcription supplied by the publisher. The personal timeline was omitted by the publisher because it contained information about other women. Statements made in the apology are attributed to Chris Green; this archive does not independently verify every assertion in them.

Thank you for writing to me. You deserve a full and honest answer, and I've tried to give you one here. My partner in London is aware of this email and we have agreed to be open about any contact I have with the women involved.

First, I am deeply sorry for the pain I have caused you. I cheated on you and lied to you, and I lied to the other women I was involved with too. I kept each relationship hidden from the others and from the world. I can't fully comprehend the hurt this has caused you, but I know what I did was very wrong, and none of it is anyone's fault but mine.

I hope that setting out the full timeline honestly will help you have some closure.

Timeline [... deleted by the publisher due to his disclosure of other women's personal information]

2. Your Points

I was not there when you went through the D&C. You went through that pain with only a close friend while I was staying with the woman I'd met. There is no excuse for it, and I am deeply sorry.

Yes. While we were in Taipei, in the hotel you had booked, I called another woman.

Yes, as set out above: the relationship in Germany, and the one-night encounter.

Yes. On the trip with your family, I went for a walk to call another woman and told her I was in Vienna.

Yes. I used work trips to keep my relationships hidden from each of you. The work was sometimes real, but I also used it as cover.

The women I've described above are everyone I was involved with during this period. If something you've heard doesn't align with that, I'd appreciate if you could put it to me directly rather than have it sit unanswered, and I will respond truthfully.

Yes. I bought flights, upgrades and accommodation for the women I was seeing. Each of them believed she was in an honest relationship with me, and she believed that because I lied to her. Those gifts were part of how I kept that deception going and were paid for with my own money.

I also blocked you on every social media and messaging platform without a word. You were owed better than silence, and I'm sorry for it.

I have contacted each of the women involved (aside from the one-night stand) and apologised privately. Please take this letter as my formal apology to you. I deceived you, broke your trust and the space you gave me, and caused you emotional pain. I am truly sorry, and I am committed to never lying to anyone this way again.

3. Points for Clarification

I wish to clarify a few specific points raised by you.

On money: I lied about my financial dependence on my partner as an excuse to not leave the relationship, and I'm sorry for that. In fact, we contribute equally to joint accounts, and I paid for my own travel and hotels. I never asked any woman to fund my trips or used them for money. Some shared costs were paid by the women I was seeing, as happens in relationships. If you would like to be reimbursed for expenses you covered during our relationship, I'm happy to do that. Just let me know what they were.

On my professional conduct involving women: my deception was in my personal life. I have never used a professional role to pursue anyone or taken advantage of women for professional gains.

You mentioned my mentorship through PCAM. I want to clarify that all the mentoring sessions happened in my London home, and both mentees have met my partner and are fully aware that I’m in a long-term relationship. There is absolutely no misconduct in this regard. If PCAM or anyone else wishes to investigate my conduct regarding the mentees, I will cooperate fully.

On Khaos: I don't know which specific representations concern you. I have reviewed all of my company's documentation and related materials, and I stand behind the company's claims and can support them with evidence. If you or anyone with a legitimate interest has a specific question, I am happy to answer it and provide proof. This I’m more than happy to do in a public forum as long as it’s separated from the private matters.

4. Public Apology

Chen-Yu, please take this as the public apology you asked for. I lied to you and deceived you, and I hurt you. I'm deeply sorry.

The other women involved have asked for their privacy. Out of respect for them, I'd ask everyone reading not to speculate about who they are or share anything that could identify them.

I won't be commenting further here.

Chris

Acknowledging the start of PCAM’s review process

THE REVIEW

Thank you to PCAM for beginning the review process.

Gathering the evidence left me shaken and in tears. Every woman involved has experienced emotional distress.

But within 7 days of speaking out, we submitted it.

ACCOUNTABILITY

I am asking for the review to reach a conclusion — even if the person concerned resigns.

Resignation should not make the questions disappear.

Where organisations give people platforms, positions and access to others, accountability and safeguarding matter.

THE “APOLOGY”

I do not consider Chris Green’s apology to be adequate.

His apology is currently under my previous post for context.

It has largely circulated within my circles, rather than his — including the professional communities where people may need to understand the concerns being raised.

Given the scale, impact and professional overlaps I have raised, I do not accept that this can simply be dismissed as a “private matter.”

WHAT NEXT

I will respect PCAM’s process and wait for its conclusions.

I also reserve the right to bring relevant, evidence-based concerns to other organisations where appropriate.

I spoke. We documented. We submitted.

Now, I wait for the process.

WHY I’M SPEAKING

I have students. I meet brilliant young women all the time.

The thought of them one day being mentored or approached by someone who treats women this way frightens me.

I don’t want Chris Green’s name attached to mine any longer.

But I’m choosing to speak out — and to have my name attached to his for a little longer — so fewer women will have to speak after me.
